FAQs
A. There are many reasons why they don’t work very well. First, a lot of the most powerful pollutants such as viruses and bacteria and a number of allergens are too small. Filters cannot trap these small particles. HEPA filter type air purifiers mainly remove dust and some allergens.
Second, air filters require the air to be brought through the machine. It will only clean the air located just around the filter and will continually clean this over and over. Therefore, it does not treat the air in the far corners of your room, behind any furniture, drapes, etc., leaving much of your breathing space unsecured. And worse, it does not eliminate the main source of the pollution which is the contamination found on surfaces and embedded in fabrics. The Mountainaire™ is different and can treat a whole home in many cases including contamination from e-coli on counter tops.
A. It has been well documented that an air purifier without a fan cannot remove pollution to any substantial level. These types of air purifiers mainly remove pollution that is very close to the actual air unit itself. That’s great if you’re purifying the air in a closet, but not for your living area. The maintenance for those units requires you to wipe off a plate to clear away the trapped pollution, or buy expensive air filters. But unless those units have ultraviolet light, that plate contains live bacteria and viruses that can be harmful when they circulate throughout your house.
This is where super activated oxygen (03) is sometimes considered harmful. The Mountainaire™ does not create this bacterium because there are no plates to clean off. All you need to do is vacuum or rinse out the filter once a month or as needed.
A. The Mountainaire™ has a mechanism that helps to eliminate pollution similar to a natural thunderstorm process. Thunderstorms produce highly activated oxygen which destroys pollution and puts negative ions in the air, promoting better health. This super activated oxygen produced by thunderstorms is devastating to air pollution. It is also the source of the aroma that you smell after a thunderstorm which many associate with fresh air.
The Mountainaire™ targets pollution throughout the room, on surfaces, and in fabrics like guided missile. Pollution cannot hide anywhere in the house. It has also been shown to kill bacteria, viruses, yeast and mold.
The Mountainaire™ helps eliminate pollution with the help of cutting edge technology. Besides bacteria, viruses, mold, yeast and allergens, it also targets fecal odors, propane, fungus, formaldehyde, perfumes, creosote from fireplaces, methane, methylene chloride, phenols, PCB’s, humid acid, DIMPs, glycerol, kepones, methyl ethyl ketones, acetone from fingernail filings, styrene, nitro compounds, formic acid, benzoic, butanes, pentanes, ethane, alcohols, cyanides, detergents, phosphates and more.
A. The Mountainaire™ has been shown to help sanitize the air, floors, ceiling, walls, furniture, carpeting, countertop surfaces, bathtubs, toilets, sinks and clothes.
A. Super Fantastic! Odors from cigarette smoke, urine, cooking odors, mildew, and any other odors in your home are greatly decreased or eliminated. The unit is so powerful that it can eliminate the odor of a skunk in minutes!
After eliminating the odor from the air, the Mountainaire™ attacks the source of the odor, such as cigarette smoke and urine embedded in carpet, furniture, wallpaper, and clothing. It also can destroy mold and yeast.
A. The Mountainaire™ has shown to relieve symptoms due to allergies, asthma and other respiratory problems. It also introduces extra oxygen into the air and puts healthy negative ions into your environment, helping you to sleep better and have much more energy during the day. Fewer toxins in your environment can make you look and feel better, have more energy, and be more mentally alert.
A. We believe the Mountainaire™ to be superior in performance at half the cost of any competitor. The Mountainaire™ contains the latest technology available for indoor air treatment.
A. Wind creates proper air circulation. Ionization removes particulate matter, and O3 (Ozone) helps decrease chemical gases.
A. Yes, and we believe much more effective for use in an indoor environment. Filters become contaminated and must be cleaned and eventually replaced, which creates an ongoing replacement cost. Your electric bill will increase because the fan on a filter unit must draw air through it in order to be treated. Airflow must be directed toward the filter, which requires considerable fan capacity.
