This first filter catches dust, dirt and pet hair preventing these larger particles from reaching the inner filters, helping to extend the life of all components.
Clean regularly by removing the filter from the unit and vacuuming the filter with the hand held attachment to remove pet dander, dust, lint and other large particles. The Pre-Filter can be cleaned by running it under cool water and then scrubbed using a toothbrush to gently remove particles.
